The role: Chief Accountant
This position is directly reporting to Finance Manager and is responsible for the full accounting cycle including transaction processing, monthly closings, tax, legal, and statutory reporting.

The role: Chief Accountant
This position is directly reporting to Finance Manager and is responsible for the full accounting cycle including transaction processing, monthly closings, tax, legal, and statutory reporting.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Performs month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
- Coordinates with the team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Develops and maintains internal controls, effective accounting systems, and policies.
- Ensures the correctness of relevant bookkeeping and prepares all tax declarations properly and on time.
- Serves as the contact person for relations with the tax authority and establishes good communication with them.
- Follows up on new tax legislation that may affect operations and informs HQ finance when necessary.
- Prepares complete and accurate financial statements in accordance with local requirements and Group Accounting Policy.
- Cooperates with external auditors to carry out periodical external audit processes.
- Supervises and follows all necessary financial applications to public authorities and commercial organizations.
- Manages the process of archiving documents according to legal requirements and company procedures.
Required skills and qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting / Business Administration / Economy
- Fluent in English
- Sound knowledge in local Tax laws and regulations,
- Strong accounting background with accrual accounting mentality,
- Experience in local bookkeeping,
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions; retail experience is an advantage,
- Ability to work in a multinational/multicultural environment.
