At McDonald's Bulgaria we rely on our team members to power the business and provide consultancy and support to the people in our restaurants. For the Finance and Accounting department of the Company we are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant who can join us on this journey, using his or her skills to make us more efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead both strategically and operationally all accounting processes;
• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals;
• Maintain close communication with the team members, providing expert guidance and support;
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings;
• Statutory reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements;
• Review financial statements, tax filings, and management reports;
• Drive process improvements and ensure internal controls;
• Provide hands-on support in complex accounting matters, when needed.
• Candidate Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years as Chief Accountant or in a Deputy role;
• Deep knowledge of IFRS is required
• Knowledge of the US GAAP is an advantage
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills;
• Ability to work independently and as a team player;
• Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines with precision and attention to detail.

• Outstanding analytical abilities and communication skills
• Ability to express ideas effectively, verbally and in writing
• Computer literate and ability to quickly learn new software applications necessary to complete daily tasks
