Chief Accountant – Management Financial Group

The position is a key role in the Finance division of MFG, owning the accounting function and supporting the Group CFO and ultimately the Group CEO and the Leadership team.

Responsibilities: · Oversee the accounting teams in Bulgaria; · Responsible for the Group Consolidations and assist in the Annual audit process; · Communicate with regulators and fiscal authorities; · Keep oversight of ledger and financial accounts: periodical review of accounts for errors and correct any inconsistencies; Monitor the general ledger accounting for compliance with IFRS, other industry best practices and company guidelines. · Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close and internal reporting; · Manage local tax accounting, verification and documentation of financial transactions, research and analysis of tax implications; · Research technical accounting issues for compliance; · Active participation within the different forecast cycles; target setting, budgeting and strategic planning.

Qualifications: · Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role such as Chief Accountant; · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience; · Very good knowledge and understanding of IFRS and tax legislation; · High awareness for regulatory compliance; · Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken; · Very good computer literacy and skills: ERP systems, financial accounting systems, MS Office (Word, Excel, Internet); · Strong analytical thinking, time planning and organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
