For our Finance and Accounting team we are looking for a proactive and reliable Deputy Chief Accountant.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manages and controls the company’s accounting activities in compliance with Bulgarian legislation and company policies;
  • Responsible for the ongoing accounting records, including revenues, expenses, inventories, fixed assets, accounts receivable and payable, as well as cash and bank transactions, using specialized financial and accounting software;
  • Supports the Finance Manager in the accounting closing process (monthly, quarterly, semi annual, and annual);
  • Assists the Financial Manager in the preparation of tax returns and the company’s annual financial statements;
  • Prepares and validate VAT returns, tax returns, financial statements, and statutory statistical reports;
  • Prepares statistical reports, forms related to the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), and other required documentation;
  • Provides periodic management reports;
  • Analyses the company financial performance and suggest actions for improvement;
  • Works with external banking applications/systems and prepares documents for submission to banks and leasing companies;
  • Communicating with clients and institutions when necessary;
  • Studies, analyses, and provides expert recommendations and solutions on accounting matters;
  • Review existing processes and recommend improvements in line with accounting best practices;
  • Provides methodological support to colleagues in the Finance and Accounting Department, as well as to other departments within the company;
  • Acts as a substitute for the Financial Manager (Chief Accountant) in organizational, administrative, and other matters during their absence.


Requierments:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience (senior or team-leading level).
  • Strong knowledge of Bulgarian accounting, International Standards and tax legislation.
  • Experience working with accounting or ERP systems (Microsoft Navision will be considered as an advantage).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and reliable approach.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized and reliable.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Experience in managing people.
