Your Responsibilities:

System analysis and design:

• Conduct thorough analysis of existing banking systems and processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and design solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Develop system specifications, flowcharts, and diagrams to illustrate system architecture.

Requirements gathering:

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and management, to gather and document system requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications.

System implementation:

• Oversee the implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems.
• Conduct testing and validation to ensure systems meet requirements and function correctly.

Technical support:

• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for banking systems.
• Address and resolve system issues in a timely manner.

Regulatory compliance:

• Ensure that banking systems comply with industry regulations and standards.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive financial data.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, specifications, and operational procedures.
• Prepare user manuals and conduct training sessions for end-users.

Required skills:

Technical proficiency:

• Proficient in system analysis and design methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS), SQL, and other query languages.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Familiarity with banking technology and systems like payments, cards, and core banking systems.

Industry knowledge:

• Understanding of banking operations, financial products, and services.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Analytical skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.

Communication:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Good to have skills:

Project management:

• Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Advanced technical skills:

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Tableau).

Certifications:

• Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous.

Preferred educational qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree - a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree - a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Systems, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Continuing Education: continuous professional development through courses, workshops, and seminars in system analysis, project management, and banking technologies.
