The Role

As the Operations Quality Assurance Director, you will report to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and lead the Quality departments at the Distribution Centre - owning the day-to-day operations while driving excellence across Processing and Warehouse.You proactively manage risk, act fast and decisively based on data, and foster a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and high performance. You will also revise and rebuild existing quality checks, standards, and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with evolving operational needs and industry best practices.

What You'll Do

Build, lead and run the day-to-day operations of the Quality department within the Distribution Centre

Actively monitor performance across Processing & Warehouse, ensuring alignment with strategic goals in quality, efficiency, speed, and tech adoption

Liaise actively with customer-facing teams, incl. Customer Service, to identify quality gaps and define strategies how to close these gaps

Revise and rebuild existing quality checks, standards, and procedures, and evaluate their success

Proactively identify areas with potential quality improvements, define improvement initiatives and drive their implementation

Design and evolve strategies for quality that are flexible, scalable, and deeply aligned with operational needs

Be a core part of the Operations Leadership Team, contributing across all directions to achieve business-wide objectives

Continuously review, rebuild, and improve training standards and documentation

Build and track KPIs for quality and training performance, and ensure the team understands how to execute against them

Develop and implement processes for complaint handling, document control, and ensure the plant is fully compliant with all applicable quality and regulatory requirements

Lead complaint handling process within the Operations team, interfacing with clients and suppliers in case of escalations

Lead site certification activities, incl. potential ISO certification

What You'll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Operations, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.

7+ years of experience in a quality or training leadership role within processing, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance, continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), and quality management systems (QMS).

Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Strong leadership presence—able to influence at all levels and drive cultural change.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adjusting plans based on evolving business needs.

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or ISO Lead Auditor certification would be considered as a plus.

Experience with ERP and digital QMS platforms.

Track record of fostering innovation, experimentation, and scalable solutions in a high-growth environment.
