We are looking for a CHIEF ACCOUNTANT This is a newly established role within our company. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate the accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate execution of accounting operations and internal reporting processes.

We are looking for a CHIEF ACCOUNTANT This is a newly established role within our company. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate the accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate execution of accounting operations and internal reporting processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Coordination
- Lead the accounting team and oversee all daily accounting activities;
- Ensure compliance with national accounting standarts (knowledge of international accounting standards is an advantage);
- Provide structure, direction, and clarity within the department;
- Support and guide the team to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
Operational & Organizational Support
- Organize and maintain accounting documentation and internal databases;
- Ensure accurate data entry into ERP and financial systems;
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper information flow and process alignment;
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures and documentation flow.
Internal Reporting & Documentation
- Ensure accounting reports and records are complete, accurate, and in line with company policies;
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and control over accounting procedures;
- Supervise reconciliation processes and oversee data consistency across systems.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the main point of contact for all accounting-related matters;
- Collaborate with departments such as HR, logistics, and procurement on accounting documentation and processes;
- Support internal audits and ensure readiness of required documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel;
- English proficiency – minimum B2 level (CEFR).
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting;
- At least 3 years in a Chief Accountant or similar leadership role;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing people and accounting operations.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities;
- Responsible, proactive, and deadline-oriented mindset;
- Experience with International Accounting Standards is considered an advantage.
