Grove Global Consult, a leading consulting and recruitment agency dedicated to serving the global private sector, is looking for a Director General Secretary and Legal to join one of our prestigious clients.
About the Role: This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing corporate governance, legal compliance, and administrative support for the company’s governing bodies. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, results-oriented professional with a strong legal background and a proactive approach to corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure legal compliance with all corporate documents and agreements
- Advise management on corporate governance, legal obligations, and regulatory updates
- Develop and implement internal policies to support integrity and transparency
- Provide proactive corporate support to the management and regional stakeholders
Board & Committee Support:
- Organize and coordinate meetings of the Management Board and Supervisory Board
- Prepare and manage board meeting documentation, including agendas and minutes
- Communicate board decisions effectively to stakeholders
- Offering expert legal advice on corporate law and regulatory compliance
Legal Affairs:
- Draft, review, and approve legal documents, contracts, and agreements
- Manage litigation, legal disputes, and regulatory communications
- Oversee company correspondence related to legal and corporate matters
- Mitigate legal and regulatory risks through internal controls
Leadership & Organizational Management:
- Lead the General Secretary and Legal Directorate, ensuring performance and compliance
- Supervise and evaluate legal team members
- Manage relationships with external law firms and legal consultants
Qualifications & Skills:
• Master’s degree in law with legal capacity
- 10+ years of experience in corporate law and governance
- Fluent English (German is an advantage)
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal software
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Business acumen and ability to drive results
