Are you an experienced WordPress developer looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills? We are seeking a talented senior level WordPress developer to join our team at WOWTEA, a leading e-commerce website. As a WordPress developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our websites, ensuring its smooth functionality and user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our design and front-end teams and develop new features and enhancements for our websites, built on WordPress.
- Customize and configure WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
- Optimize website performance, including page load times, for optimal user experience.
- Troubleshoot and debug any issues or bugs that arise, providing timely resolutions.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search rankings.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies, and proactively suggest improvements to our existing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketers and content creators, to ensure seamless integration of website elements.
- Maintain website security and implement necessary updates and patches.
- Promote the usage of industry standards.
- 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, and filters.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and familiarity with SEO plugins.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Vanilla javascript comprehension vs. jquery
- Experience with e-commerce websites or related platforms. Woocomerce is a must and containerization toolsets (Docker, k3s/portainer)
