Who is our client?

IT Consulting company that provides cybersecurity services and has its own integrated management technology platform. For their office in Sofia, Bulgaria, they are looking for an experienced IT professional to take the role of a:

Cybersecurity Expert

Your responsibilities:

• You will maintain and protect the office's information systems and networks, conduct security awareness training for staff, and promote security awareness across the organization.
• You will handle IT-related activities -Network and server administration, Infrastructure monitoring, and Asset management.
• You have to carry out security measures to monitor and protect from infiltration and cyber-attacks.
• You will organize regular security and risk assessments, and maintain firewalls and antivirus software.
• Last but not least, you will Investigate security incidents, develop and implement security policies, and oversee audits and compliance initiatives (such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001).

Essential requirements for the role:

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, System administration, or IT security
• Proven experience with Linux and Windows OSs, MS Windows Server 2022, and network and firewall management with NGFW such as Cisco, and Palo Alto
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, and familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001/27002)
• Experience in SOC 2 compliance or similar frameworks and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and some experience with Ansible
• Experience with scripting languages -Bash, Python, and/or Power Shell
• Good knowledge of the English language

It would be an advantage but it is not mandatory:

• Certification in Information System Audit / Security / ISO27k series/ CISA
• Linux RHEL 8
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or other relevant field of study.
