Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in fixed asset management, accounting methodologies, tax return preparation and compliance and general accounting functions.

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in fixed asset management, accounting methodologies, tax return preparation and compliance and general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns.
- Ensure timely tax filings and payments in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to support audits and resolve issues.
- Keep up-to-date with tax laws and changes in tax codes.
Fixed Asset Accounting:
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets.
- Conduct periodic physical asset inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
Accounting Methodology:
- Apply appropriate accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) to financial processes.
- Develop, document, and improve accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and transactions.
General Accounting & Month-End Close:
- Manage and perform general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries and financial reports.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Audit & Compliance:
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
Process Improvement & Systems:
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements.
- Lead or assist in finance-related projects and ERP system implementations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on tax and fixed assets.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and accounting methodologies.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, others).
- Advanced Excel skills and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
