Investor Media Group is a leading internet media company in Bulgaria and part of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. Through our online and TV products, we reach more than half of all internet users in the country. Our mission is to provide reliable information, high-quality content, and modern digital services. We are expanding our team and looking for a Senior PHP Developer to contribute to the development of high-traffic web platforms and internal systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of web applications and microservices
- Designing and implementing new functionalities
- Optimization of existing systems – performance and security
- Collaboration with system administrators, QA engineers, and product managers
- Participation in architectural decisions and technical planning
- Incident support and troubleshooting
- 5+ years of experience with PHP, OOP, and Design Patterns
- Experience with framework-based systems
- Excellent knowledge of MySQL (indexes, query optimization)
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON
- Experience with Composer, Git, Docker
- Experience with caching technologies
- Systematic and analytical personality
- Strong knowledge of algorithm design/analysis and data structures
- Ability to lead, manage, and organize development processes for complex software projects
- Good understanding of architectures: monolithic, modular, microservices
- Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, gather information, and communicate direction and status
- Independent decision-making and strong technical judgment
