YOUR ROLE:
As a Python Developer at SiteGround, your primary focus will be on developing innovative AI-powered products. You’ll join a team of AI engineers and collaborate with other dev teams to deliver robust and scalable AI solutions. Your contributions will directly impact both our internal systems and the products we offer to our clients.
With the rapidly evolving AI landscape, we at SiteGround are embracing AI technologies as a core part of our business strategy. Our goal is to adopt an AI-first approach both for our products and within the company, and we’re looking for smart and passionate developers to help us shape the future.
In this role, you’ll be involved in designing and building new products from scratch, improving existing systems, and helping shape the services behind our AI initiatives.
While your primary focus will fall on backend development, front-end and broader experience with other programming languages is highly valued as you’ll also participate in developing proof-of-concepts, as well as exploring new tools and technologies.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable services using Python and FastAPI. Build APIs to support internal tools and customer-facing applications;
- Collaborate closely with AI engineers to implement and optimize core AI functionality;
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code that meets performance and reliability standards. Participate in code reviews and help refine development workflows and best practices;
- Rapidly prototype new features, experiment with, evaluate, and integrate emerging AI tools and third-party libraries;
- Partner with platform engineers to deploy, monitor, and maintain AI services in production.
- Troubleshoot production issues, implement code fixes, and contribute to the stability of existing AI services;
- Support internal AI adoption by developing and integrating tools that streamline workflows across departments;
- 5+ years of experience with Python*;
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices;
- Experience with FastAPI or other web application frameworks in Python;
- Understanding of SQL, familiarity with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS;
- Experience with package management in Python;
- Experience with recent AI technologies, LLMs, agentic frameworks, MCP, etc., in personal or work-related projects;
- Familiarity with cloud compute environments (GCP, AWS) and shell scripting;
- Passionate about using AI tools to improve coding workflows;
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- While 5+ years of experience is preferable, we're also open to outstanding and highly motivated candidates with less experience who are eager to grow in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field;
- Experience with other programming languages;
- Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, React, CSS frameworks etc.;
- Knowledge of AI/Machine Learning concepts and algorithms;
- Experience with AI frameworks, i.e. PyTorch, Tensorflow, HuggingFace;
- Working on in-house built products, using the latest technologies;
