We are looking for an Accountant for our Hiab team who will be responsible for supporting selected processes and countries, including accounting for and coordinating the month-end general ledger close and preparing balance sheet reconciliations. Additionally, this role participates in financial reporting, operational activities, and process improvement projects.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for support accounting services for selected processes and countries, which include accounting for and coordination of month-end general ledger close, prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide support for roles in the area of Record-to Report.
- Acts as primary point of contact for selected partners and/or processes.
- Responsible for financial reporting operational activities.
- Participate in process improvement projects.
- Participate/lead cross trainings of junior associates and new team members.
- Handling ad-hoc requests on a timely manner.
- Follow internal control procedures and all accounting policies in accordance with CAS and internal control framework.
- Deliver error free process.
- Building supportive relationships with peers and colleagues.
- The role has controlling and reporting responsibilities over all processes in the end-to-end accounting: OTC, ITP, HR activities, and how they are reflected and accounted for in the books.
- The role executes ongoing control over the accounting activities in the respective ledger, for which it is responsible.
What you’ll need to succeed: We are looking for a Professional who is a strong team player, has problem solving attitude, demonstrates analytical skills, good interpersonal and communication skills; taking initiative in a proactive manner to improve own and team work practices and has International mind-set. Ideally you have:
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in finance operations
- Experience with simple to complex query handling
- Good MS-office skills, ERP knowledge required. SAP knowledge will be a strong advantage
- Process knowledge on Record to Report
- Proficiency of written and oral English required.
