Our client is the second largest bank in Germany with over 14,000 branches in over 50 countries and an R&D center in Bulgaria. On their behalf, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their team in Sofia.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing scalable and efficient cloud applications;
- Collaborating with Data Scientists and ML experts to integrate AI models into complex service stacks;
- Continuously improving software development processes and practices using the latest industry trends;
- Working using Agile development methodologies to ensure rapid and iterative delivery of high-quality software;
- Maintaining a high standard of code quality through code reviews and automated testing;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
- Writing and optimizing application code as well as Infrastructure as Code (IAC) scripts.
- High knowledge in architecting and building scalable, high-performance cloud applications;
- Solid understanding of cloud services (GCP, Azure) and infrastructure;
- Experience with IaC (Terraform) for deployment;
- Familiarity with Docker for efficient application deployment, including multi-stage builds;
- Ability to utilize Google Cloud Platform and Azure for application hosting and management;
- Good understanding of developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architectures;
- Knowledge of core Python concepts and web service frameworks like FastAPI or Flask;
- Experience in writing and running tests using PyTest and Behave frameworks;
- Experience in managing and interacting with SQL and NoSQL databases;
- Good analytic thinking with attention to detail to solve problems;
- Team player with high ability to work in cross-locational and international teams;
- Fluency in English - both written and spoken;
- University degree in IT or a relevant.
