Our current client is an Accounting and Auditing company, providing the full scope of related services. On their behalf we are looking for Audit Director to join their team in Sofia. If you are curious about this exciting opportunity, then this might be the chance you have been waiting for!
Responsibilities:
- Audit Leadership - Oversee and manage audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio, ensuring high-quality delivery, compliance with Crowe Bulgaria standards, and international best practices. Lead and mentor audit teams, providing direction, technical guidance, and quarterly performance assessments;
- Client Relationship Management - Cultivate strong relationships with senior client executives, facilitating effective communication and identifying opportunities to offer value-added services in compliance with ISA;
- Quality Assurance and Technical Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of auditing standards and regulations, leading initiatives to enhance quality in Crowe Bulgarias audit services and addressing complex audit challenges as they arise;
- Strategic Planning and Innovation: Work with Crowe management to implement audit strategies and drive the adoption of new technologies for improved audit efficiency and performance;
- Reporting and Ad-Hoc Responsibilities: Provide regular updates to Crowe management on client relationships and team performance, along with additional responsibilities as assigned by the Managing Partner.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years in audit, with a strong record of delivering high-quality results;
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Bulgarian tax legislation;
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant;
- Active CPA membership;
- International accounting and auditing certifications are a plus;
- Fluent in English, with strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrates exceptional business communication etiquette;
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage competing tasks effectively;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
