Back-end Development Team Lead at Digital Banking Department, Sofia

Contribution and key responsibilities:

 Own and lead the end-to-end back-end application development lifecycle, from technical strategy to delivery and operations

 Drive and facilitate technical discussions for new initiatives, ensuring architectural soundness, scalability, and long-term maintainability

 Act as a technical role model and mentor for the back-end development team

 Oversee the stability, performance, and day-to-day operation of applications developed by the team

 Supervise support, enhancement, and implementation of existing software solutions

 Perform regular code reviews and provide clear technical guidance

 Own the delivery, oversight, and execution of back-end software projects

 Navigate ambiguity, system complexity, and organizational constraints with creativity and pragmatism, while maintaining high engineering standards

 Be accountable for planning, execution, and successful delivery of back-end software projects

 Contribute hands-on development, primarily using Java and PL/SQL

For efficiency and effective role performance:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

 Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade web systems

 At least 1 year of experience managing and mentoring developers is a strong advantage

 Strong back-end development expertise, with a focus on Java and PL/SQL

 Experience applying security patterns and best practices across application, data, and integration layers

 Hands-on experience designing and operating concurrent, high-volume, low-latency enterprise systems

 Proven experience with back-end and third-party integrations

 Fluent in spoken and written English
