Role Specifics: If you are fluent in Montenegrin and eager to demonstrate your local and cultural knowledge about Montenegro in a variety of projects and develop your career in dynamic international teams, learn more about our exciting opportunity.
In this exciting role, you'll:
- Analyse geographic and linguistic source data from Montenegro ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Review and provide feedback on geographic data and correct navigation data in Montenegro
- Recommend and implement cartographic improvements based on the local markets enhancing user experience
- Improvе large datasets together with an international team
- Research "Point of interests" in local areas
- Label training data for machine learning of an address parser
- Review and correct pronunciation of street and place names, and provide suggestions for improvement
- Act as a local expert to provide guidance and advice to various teams on locally specific characteristics related to geography, road laws, or languages
Requirements:
- In-depth local and cultural knowledge about Montenegro and residence in the country for a minimum of 10 years
- 1-3 years of professional experience in Translation, Journalism, Content Creation, Tourism, Geography, Cartography, or similar
- Excellent written and communication skills in Montenegrin (Grammar, Orthography, Dialects)
- Professional proficiency in English
- High attention to detail, strong knowledge of databases search and data analysis
- Research, analytical, and organizational skills
- Confident user of word processing and spreadsheet software such as MS Word and MS Excel
- Degree in Linguistics or other language discipline will be considered an advantage
- Experience with macOS will be considered an advantage
