Our Client, a fast growing company with a great reputation, is looking for a Database Administrator to join its focused and experienced team.
Mission:
Partner with Engineering and DevOps teams on roadmap planning to ensure rock solid architectures. The Database Administrator will build, support, administer, and sustain a clustered-server database platform hosted in an enterprise IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and document database servers and associated infrastructure Build, configure and sustain database server clusters Design, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery routines Performs optimization and performance testing, working with both physical and virtual servers Monitor the databases to ensure availability, security, maximum uptime and performance Implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:
Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field Previous experience in design, deployment and administration of PostgreSQL or Oracle Databases Experience in design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting Kafka messaging infrastructure Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems Solid understanding of enterprise data backup, recovery, fail-over, and high availability technologies Excellent teamwork and communication skills
