Job Description
Applications management involves overseeing the lifecycle of software applications, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver value effectively.
As a Cloud Applications Support Engineer at Endava, you will be part of an international team responsible for providing incident and problem management to clients. You will also build and develop relationships with these clients while delivering excellent technical support and managing the release and change control process.
Responsibilities:
· Proactive management of business-critical real-time trading systems, identifying issues and potential problem areas. · Interact with various internal IT support functions: Infrastructure, DevOps, Development, Quality Assurance, Operations, external IT departments, and 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents. · Take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation and out of working hours deployments. · Identify areas of improvement with regards to recurring support requests and areas that can be automated.
Qualifications
· Experience in supporting business-critical applications. · Strong organizational skills and ability to successfully manage multiple tasks. · Ability to build effective relationships with business users. · Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. · Experience of working in an ITIL environment. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to manage client communications and their expectations. · Some experience with cloud technology: AWS or Azure. · Good understanding of Windows and Linux servers. · Knowledge of web servers: IIS / Apache / Nginx. · Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, C#.NET, Java, JavaScript, C#. · Good understanding of Internet connectivity infrastructure (Browsers, Proxies, Firewalls, Load Balancers, SSL, TCP/IP) · Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (Github, Nexus / Artifactory, Team City or Jenkins, JIRA) would be considered as an advantage. · Experience with ServiceNow would be considered as an advantage.
