We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced UI/UX Design Director to shape the design vision and drive the user experience for our multi-asset trading platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial industry, coupled with a proven track record of creating exceptional user experiences for sophisticated trading applications. You will provide strategic direction, foster a culture of design excellence, and collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and senior leadership to ensure a cohesive and impactful user experience across our platforms.

Primary responsibilities (not limited to):

Strategic Design Leadership & Vision:

· Establish and Champion UI/UX Strategy: Define and articulate a comprehensive UI/UX strategy that aligns with business objectives, user needs, and market trends within the financial sector. · Design Standards & Governance: Develop and maintain a robust design system, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and excellence across the trading platform. · Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and best practices in financial UI/UX. · Drive Innovation: Foster a culture of design innovation and experimentation, encouraging the team to explore new approaches and technologies. Design Execution & Team Oversight: · Oversee Design Process: Provide strategic oversight of the entire design process, from user research and conceptualization to prototyping, visual design, and implementation. · Ensure Exceptional User Experiences: Champion the creation of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for complex trading functionalities. · Design System Management: Ensure the ongoing development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system. · Team Development & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the design team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. · Design Quality Assurance: Ensure design deliverables meet high standards of quality and usability. Collaboration & Communication: · Strategic Collaboration: Partner with product management, engineering, and senior leadership to align design strategy with business goals and product roadmaps. · Effective Communication: Clearly articulate design concepts, rationale, and strategic recommendations to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. · User Feedback Integration: Establish processes for gathering and incorporating user feedback to continuously improve the user experience. · Stakeholder Presentations: Confidently present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders at all levels. Financial Industry Expertise: · Trading Workflow Expertise: Leverage deep understanding of trading workflows and financial markets to inform strategic design decisions. · Data Visualization: Translate complex financial data and concepts into clear, intuitive, and actionable visual representations. · Industry Best Practices: Ensure the platform adheres to industry best practices and regulatory requirements. · User Segment Understanding: Demonstrate a nuanced understanding of the needs and behaviors of both professional and retail trading users.

Qualifications:

· Extensive experience in designing and delivering successful trading applications within established financial institutions. · A strong portfolio demonstrating strategic design thinking, user research expertise, and exceptional visual design skills. · Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, including Figma and other prototyping software. · Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills. · Deep knowledge of financial market data and its effective display. · Experience leading or mentoring design teams.

Working Hours: 40/week, Monday–Friday. Hybrid: 3 days in-office.
