Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of SAP HANA, SAP ASE, and Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
- Monitor database performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to enhance system efficiency.
- Develop and enforce database security policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry and internal company standards.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery and high availability scenario and strategies for SAP System Databases
- Work closely with SAP application teams and other stakeholders to align database management strategies with business needs.
- Participate in project planning and implementation efforts related to database upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- Analyze database usage trends and forecast future capacity requirements to ensure scalability.
- Optimize database configurations and queries to improve performance and reduce resource consumption.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
Required skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of knowledge and experience in Database administration.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in SQL, database backup/recovery, and performance monitoring tools.
- Experience with database security best practices and compliance regulations.
- Experience with various tools like HANA cockpit, OEM, SQL developer etc.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation tasks.
- University-level degree in IT or a related field.
- Work experience in an international environment.
- Good communication skills and previous experience communicating with senior management stakeholders
