The Operations Manager is a key mid-management position responsible for optimizing and overseeing all operational processes of an international e-commerce/ retail business based in Europe, with global shipping and a strong customer base in the USA. This role ensures smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations across logistics, administration, and cross-team coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- E-commerce ops ownership: Run end-to-end order processing, fulfillment, shipping, and exception handling for global DTC.
- Warehouse/3PL & carriers management: Coordinate dispatch, SLAs, inventory accuracy, and delivery performance with partners.
- Order economics: Analyze and improve unit economics (shipping/fulfillment costs, margins, returns) with strong Excel/Sheets reporting.
- Customs & duties optimization: Practical experience reducing duty impact (esp. USA) via correct documentation, HS codes, incoterms, broker coordination.
- Process & systems improvement: Build SOPs, remove inefficiencies, and evaluate/implement OMS/WMS/shipping tools for scalability.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Align ops with management, production, and marketing on launches, capacity, and priorities.
- B2B shipping + finance coordination: Manage B2B shipments, tracking, delivery follow-up, and support receivables control with sales/accounting.
- Clear communication & planning: Strong reporting cadence and ability to support budgeting with data-driven insights.
- 2 - 5 years in e-commerce operations, logistics, or supply chain (brand or 3PL side).
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; comfort with dashboards/KPIs.
- Experience with OMS/WMS/shipping systems + integrations.
- International shipping + customs/duties experience (US a big plus).
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and calm handling of exceptions.
- Faster dispatch times + higher on-time delivery rate.
- Lower shipping/fulfillment cost per order and fewer errors.
- Improved gross margin/order contribution via cost + duties optimization.
- Higher inventory accuracy and fewer lost/damaged packages.
- Clear SOPs, dependable reporting, scalable tools/partners.
