We’re looking for a Senior Android Developer who is not only passionate about cutting-edge in-vehicle software but also ready to take the next big step in their career: leading a team. If you're eager to help shape the future of mobility software in Bulgaria and build your own AAOS development team from the ground up - this is your opportunity.
You will:
- Desing and build advanced applications for the AAOS platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code (Java/Kotlin; C++ is a big plus)
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Debug and optimize application performance for automotive-grade requirements
- Explore and implement new technologies and tools to boost development efficiency
- Contribute to system architecture and have an active say in long-term tech strategy
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Lead by example and mentor junior engineers, with a path to building and managing your own local team
You have:
- A degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field
- 5+ years of experience developing Android applications, with deep AAOS knowledge
- Hands-on experience with: Android Automotive OS architecture, System services, HALs, Soong build system, and SDK extensions, Android development tools and CI/CD workflows (Git, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.), Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe)
- Strong grasp of Android app architecture and object-oriented design methodologies
- Experience with unit and UI testing in production environments
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen analytical approach
- Fluent communication in English (written & spoken)
- Proven ability and interest in mentoring and team leadership
- Desire and ability to build and lead a team in Bulgaria
