We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Rooms to join our property in Sofia.

As a member of the Executive Committee for the Hyatt Regency Sofia, the Director of Rooms is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reports to the Cluster General Manager.

The Director of Rooms duties:

• Oversees hotel services including Front Desk operations, Housekeeping, Guest Services and

Spa

• Maximizes room revenues and occupancy by analyzing daily status rates & makes adjustments

accordingly

• Manages large events and ensures high volume occupancy special requirements
• Analyzes rate variances, monitors credit reports and maintains close observation of daily house

counts

• Coordinates major projects such as renovations, capital expenditures, & equipment changes
• Conducts weekly Rooms Division meetings, including monthly financial reviews with subordinate

managers

• Prepares revenue and occupancy forecasts and monitors labor expenses through schedule a

approval processes

• Monitors KPIs of the hotel related to all Rooms Departments in line with the established targets
• Hires, manages & trains subordinate managers & employees

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural and

ethnic backgrounds

• Minimum 3 years of being Front Office Manager or 2 years Rooms Division Manager or Director

of Rooms

• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
• Proven leadership skills
• Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader,

effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line

• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in Bulgarian and English. Any additional

languages is a plus

• Must be proficient in Opera PMS
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
• Maintain communications with Corporate Staff
