Our client, a company in the logistics sector, is looking for a Local Manager to join its team in Sofia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support day-to-day logistics operations, including international shipping by land, air, and sea
• Manage all organizational, commercial, and operational matters in the Bulgarian office
• Report regularly to the regional office in Greece and the headquarters in Genoa
• Maintain relationships with local consultants and ensure smooth administrative operations
• Manage and support a small team (approx. 3–4 people)
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to increase revenue and margins
• Ensure compliance with customs and fiscal regulations
• Use standard software tools and maintain operational documentation
• Attend regular business trips to Greece, France, and Italy (up to once per month)
• Participate in a training program in France (lasting approx. 2–3 weeks) to operate specific machinery

Your Profile:

• At least 10 years of experience in the logistics sector
• Solid knowledge of international shipping (land, air, sea)
• Experience or knowledge of customs and fiscal regulations
• Strong administrative background and ability to liaise with consultants
• Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
• Team management experience and general business acumen
• Willingness to travel and attend international training
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience or willingness to learn machinery operation

• Standard working hours: 08:00–17:00 with a one-hour lunch break; occasional overtime may be required
