Main Responsibilities:

• Ensures monitoring and analysis of changes in legislation and regulatory requirements (MiFID II, MiFIR, MAR, LPFSI, Ordinance No. 38, Ordinance No. 58) and promptly informs the relevant units to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize regulatory risk.
• Develops and updates policies, procedures, and internal rules related to regulatory compliance and prevention of conflicts of interest.
• Performs independent and ongoing control to ensure the bank’s compliance as an investment intermediary.
• Identifies and assesses non-compliance risks, proposes specific measures to address weaknesses and prevent violations.
• Participates in inspections, analyses, and prepares reports for management bodies.
• Assists in the review of client complaints and supports the adoption of adequate decisions.
• Maintains effective communication with regulatory authorities (FSC, BNB) and participates in working groups on projects.
• Researches and proposes technological solutions for automation and digitalization of compliance processes.
• Organizes and conducts trainings, develops training materials for employees regarding regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• According to Art. 45 of Ordinance 38 of 21.05.2020 on the requirements for the activities of investment intermediaries.
• Higher education in law, economics, or a related field.
• Excellent command of Bulgarian and English (written and spoken).
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Critical thinking, analytical abilities, attention to detail.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Computer literacy: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Bloomberg, specialized systems/software.
• Minimum 1 (one) year of proven professional experience in the field of capital markets. Experience is considered as: working with financial instruments within investment intermediation; applying regulatory requirements and compliance policies, market analysis and evaluation, management of investment products, ensuring regulatory compliance in the field of investment products.
