Change and Release Coordinator, CluneTech

As Change and Release Coordinator you main responsibility will be to oversee and continuously improve the Change and Release Management processes, ensuring IT services remain stable, resilient, and aligned with business needs. This role acts as the guardian of service reliability, balancing agility with risk control.
Responsibilities:
Change & Release Management
- Develop, maintain, and enforce Change Management policies and procedures.
- Chair and coordinate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring proper risk assessment and approvals.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee releases across multiple environments (development, test, production).
- Ensure rollback plans and contingency measures are in place for all changes.
- Track KPIs such as change success rate, failed changes, and emergency changes.
- Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to streamline release pipelines.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Align processes with ITIL best practices and ISO/IEC 20000 and ISO27001 standards.
- Implement automation in change approvals and release orchestration.
- Provide dashboards and reports to senior management on service performance.
- Train and mentor junior staff in ITSM practices.
- Act as a liaison between IT operations and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency.
- Maintain a strong understanding of all ITIL service management processes, with the ability to take on additional responsibilities or lead specific projects across these areas as required.
Requirements:
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of the ITIL framework .
- Experience with ITSM tools (SysAid, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Jira Service Management, Cherwell).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release automation tools.
- Understanding of infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud platforms) to assess change risks.
- Ability to interpret logs, monitoring dashboards, and performance metrics.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership during high-pressure or time-sensitive change windows.
- Analytical mindset with strong decision-making abilities.
- Ability to balance business needs with technical constraints.
- Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution during CAB discussions.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to record and document accurate CAB meeting minutes.
- Strong knowledge of process development and implementation.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ITIL Foundation (mandatory), ITIL Intermediate/Expert (preferred).
- ISO/IEC 20000, ISO27001 certification (advantage).
- Project Management certifications (PRINCE2, PMP) beneficial.
- Technical certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, AWS/Azure) are a plus.
