Sprintax , part of Clune Tech , is a web-based tax return preparation software that provides a number of tax related services to non-residents in the United States. We help thousands of international visitors such as students, scholars, teachers, trainees, researchers, work and travel participants and other foreign individuals that are temporary in the United States each year with the preparation of their tax returns.

Description of the role: Sprintax currently provide a range of tax services to the nonresident market and has developed its first product to assist international investors to reclaim withholding tax on dividends. The product will be applicable to shareholders globally, who have been subject to a reclaimable refund. This could be an individual or an institutional investor.

This position will ensure the delivery of high-quality operational tax services for clients with a primary focus on dividend withholding tax (DWT) reclaim and tax relief-at-source processes. The individual will work closely with the VP Sales for Sprintax and the current Sprintax Dividend team, including product experts in the US and Europe.

Responsibilities:

· Research, determine and document the best practices for Dividends Withholding Tax reclaim and upfront tax relief procedures in a range of countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and US. · Liaise with clients and internal business groups on DWT-related queries – in particular, obtaining Certificates of Tax Residence as well as business opportunities. · Where required, assist in the review, approval and processing of DWT claims via the Sprintax DWT platform. · Assist customers in the preparation of refund applications and where required file DWT refund applications for clients. · Manage questions and queries from clients on their DWT applications. · Ensure timely and high-quality responses to client inquiries.

Requirements · At least two-to-three years of operational tax experience at a custodian bank, broker or other related financial institution desired. · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking, Business, Finance or Tax desired but not required. · Entrepreneurial approach to working in a small team · High level of attention to detail and accuracy · Energy and enthusiasm · Effective office, time management and organizational skills · Excellent spoken and written English (grammar, spelling and pronunciation) and experience in presenting · Computer literacy – knowledge of Word, above average Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
