Senior Data Scientist/ Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist/ Engineer to join our team, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional skills in data engineering, particularly within the Azure tech stack. This role is pivotal in enhancing client experiences and delivering well rounded technical solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a background in data science and data engineering, statistics, and machine learning, along with the ability to transform large volumes of structured customer data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

Transform large datasets using advanced analytical solutions and data engineering techniques, delivering prescriptive and predictive analytical solutions.

Apply various mathematical models to develop descriptive and predictive models that support informed decision-making.

Create high-quality data visualizations that effectively communicate insights.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including on the client side, to discuss data-driven findings and take actionable items on technical issues.

Estimate, plan, and participate in the delivery of analytical projects.

Evaluate and select appropriate Data Science tools, libraries, and frameworks, with a focus on Azure technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in data science and engineering, statistics, or machine learning, preferably in a cloud environment.

Strong foundation in applied mathematics focused on data (statistical analysis, machine learning) or background in physics.

At least 2 years of experience with (preferably) Microsoft Azure. Tech stack: Databricks, Data lake, Azure functions, Data factory. Other components/ cloud providers are a plus.

Proficiency in OOP Python.

Experience in SQL (any dialect).

Familiarity with data analysis tools and libraries such as Python (NumPy / SciPy / scikit-learn / pandas / matplotlib).

Data visualization skills are preferred, but not mandatory.

Excellent problem-solving attitude.

Proficient in English.

We consider a plus:

Microsoft / Databricks/ Python certifications.

Multicloud experience.

Previous experience in large scale corporate environment.

Snowflake, Airflow, SAP knowledge.
