Enterprise and Data Governance Architect - Sofia

You will be part of the ETL & DWH team, supporting strategic telecom data initiatives. As an Enterprise and Data Governance Architect, you will work with business and IT stakeholders to define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, ownership models, and data standards aligned with the company’s long-term data strategy and regulatory requirements, including GDPR.

In this role, you will ensure governance principles are embedded across data models, pipelines, and integrations within hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud). Working closely with Data Engineering, BI, Security, and Business teams, you will help enable trusted, secure, and high-quality data across enterprise systems.

What you’ll be doing…

• Define and implement the Enterprise Data Governance Framework
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data ownership, stewardship, and governance processes
• Develop and maintain the target-state enterprise data architecture
• Implement metadata management, business glossary, and end-to-end data lineage capabilities
• Support data quality and Master Data Management (MDM) standards
• Ensure solutions align with data architecture, scalability, and regulatory requirements
• Review and validate data architectures delivered by vendors
• Provide architectural guidance for data integration and secure data usage
• Evaluate tools supporting data governance and compliance

What you will need…

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications
• 3+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, or Data Governance
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance operating models
• Hands-on experience with metadata management, data lineage, data quality, MDM, and business glossaries
• Understanding of data lifecycle management, data ownership models, security principles, and privacy-by-design
• Experience with enterprise DWH or Lakehouse environments
• Familiarity with data management frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK

Will be asset if you have…

• Experience in telecom environments (DWH, Data Lake, BSS/OSS)
• Experience with Data Governance or MDM platforms (Collibra, Informatica, SAP MDG)
• Knowledge of enterprise data governance best practices
• Experience working in distributed teams and Agile/SAFe environments
