What project we have for you:

Data Architect will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring the alignment of data solutions with business goals, and guiding technical teams through the execution of architectural strategies. This role also involves the development of proof-of-concepts, high-level architecture designs, and engagement with clients to articulate the vision and value of the proposed data architectures. We are looking for a Data Architect to work on building a Fabric-based data platform in Azure from scratch.

What you will do:

Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures for clients across multiple industries. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and technical teams to understand and analyze data requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions. Design and create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various data domains Define data standards, data governance policies, and data management processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the organization. Evaluate and recommend appropriate data storage, integration, and processing technologies, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based solutions. Collaborate with data engineering and development teams to implement data integration, and ETL/ELT processes. Define and implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. Provide guidance and best practices to development teams for database design, optimization, and performance tuning. Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization’s data architecture. Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure scalability, availability, and performance of data platforms and environments. Document data architecture artifacts, including data models, data flow diagrams, and system integrations.

What you need for this:

Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a strong understanding of data architecture principles, practices, and technologies. 8+ years of overall development experience. 4+ years of experience with Azure services (Microsoft Fabric is a must, Data Factory, Azure Storage, Purview, etc.) Solid experience with at least one programming language (Python, Scala, Java, etc.). Proven experience building DWH and data lakes, designing ELT / ETL processes. Deep understanding of data governance, data management, and data quality concepts. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data requirements and translate them into practical data architecture solutions. Proficiency in data modeling tools. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Experience with DataOps, data mesh etc.
