Maintenance Team Leader Role & Responsibilities

The role objective of Maintenance Team Leader is to supervise all functions pertaining to facilities’ maintenance, including, but not limited to, preventive maintenance programs, repairs of buildings, property, and all material handling equipment. Oversee the maintenance of all operating equipment and facility systems. Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Enforces proper turn time of preventive maintenance schedules. Ensures timely response to critical equipment downtime issues in the distribution center. Train and develop the Maintenance team members and authenticates that skill sets meet the minimum requirements of the job. Interacts with external vendors and coordinates all construction projects of facilities, property and equipment. Responsible for validation of quality work. Administrates and reports completed work in the required form and in systems. Ensures maintenance and repair work is performed completely safely, effectively, and in a timely manner. Creates a staffing plan to ensure daily operation and has direct control to plan and create shifts. Tracks and logs team members working time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes. Conducting tenders, concluding contracts with subcontractors and suppliers and monitoring their implementation. Budgeting and monitoring compliance with the approved budget. Monitoring insurance events. Communication with cross-dock managers regarding the condition of the leased infrastructure, as well as contact with companies for repairs and maintenance of the buildings and systems in them.

Team Lead responsibilities: Supports the direct line Manager in monitoring the team's performance and ensures that rules and regulations are followed and KPI's are met by the team. Identifies improvement potentials and leads the execution of process improvements. Participates in regular meetings with management and creates and provides executive presentations on project status and outcome. Leads by example a cross functional collaboration, creates a motivating working atmosphere and actively drives the change management. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Manages ongoing operations of the team. Plans and monitors the capacity and workload of the team, hire additional approved team members according to anticipated workload.

Requirements for the candidate:

• Secondary education with a technical profile or Higher Engineering Education;
• General technical knowledge and skills in repair and operation of HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration or Electrical installations;
• Minimum three years of experience in maintenance, operation and repair of engineering systems - public buildings;
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Office;
• Good organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate via e-mail;
• Professional experience in the maintenance of building installations, machinery and equipment will be an advantage;
• Teamwork skills;
• Active driver - category B.
