Purpose of the position

We’re looking for a Finance Trainee to join our Controlling team at HIAB. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis and performance management within a leading global company.

Our traineeship program is initially for 6 months, with the possibility to be extended up to 1 year based on performance and business needs. It's designed to help you grow, learn, and become a valuable part of the team.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Support financial reporting operational activities
• Support end-to-end controlling tasks through various sets of systems and data sources
• Support the Supervisor in the communication / escalation process to ensure alignment of interested parties
• Support the annual budget, financial forecasts, and cost variance analysis for the various service lines and a consolidated one for the entire organization
• Support regular standard management reporting for the various service line leads and the entire organization
• Handling ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• To be enrolled in a Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business or to be in your last years of studies
• No previous experience required
• Full professional proficiency of written and oral English language required
• Problem solving, organisational and communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT) or Google Workspace tools
• Proactiveness and ability to work both in team and independently
• Display a strong work ethic and self-motivation
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
