What does the Supply Planner do? The Supply Planner role involves implementing purchasing strategies based on demand forecasts, converting these forecasts into actionable supply chain plans while taking into account factors such as working capital implications, terms and conditions, inventory levels, and lead times. This position requires effective collaboration with all relevant supply chain partners, including vendors supply chain, Ingram Micro EMEA warehouses, and operations teams, working within an international, cross-functional team framework. The goal is to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize financial risk, and make efficient use of working capital. Main responsibilities of the job include:

  • Ensuring inventory health, including Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), ageing, Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory management, and product availability.
  • Planning and managing Purchase Orders (POs) to align supply with demand forecasts.
  • Optimizing the supply chain mix (Vendor to central Warehouse, Vendor to local Warehouse, Vendor to Reseller, local Warehouse to central Warehouse)
  • Maintaining seamless alignment with the Demand Planner to synchronize supply planning with demand forecasts, ensuring efficiency and responsiveness in meeting customer needs.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the business regarding supply chain and operations status, ensuring timely updates and insights are provided.


What you’ll bring:

  • Proficiency in English (C1)
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and ability to utilize various software and system tools essential for planning and analysis
  • Previous experience on a Purchasing, Buyer, Supply Planner or similar role is considered an advantage
  • Detail-oriented person, with a focus on precision and accuracy
  • Efficiency in working with teams across different departments and functions.
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues proactively when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Focus on achieving specific goals and outcomes, driving tasks to completion efficiently.
