Strategic Portfolio Project Manager

On this position you will work closely with all departments in the company and alongside with the top management of BILLA Bulgaria. As a Strategic Portfolio Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our project management strategy and roadmap. You will be responsible for overseeing various strategic projects and ensuring that they meet the organization’s goals. Your analytical mindset and leadership skills will be key in guiding project teams towards success.

As a Strategic Portfolio Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our project management strategy and roadmap. You will be responsible for overseeing various strategic projects and ensuring that they meet the organization’s goals. Your analytical mindset and leadership skills will be key in guiding project teams towards success.
YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Develop and implement a robust project portfolio management strategy that aligns with the organization's overall objectives;
- Create, validate, and propagate project management standards and best practices across the organization;
- Guide and mentor project managers and specialists in navigating the complexities of strategic project management;
- Directly manage high-impact strategic projects, proactively addressing issues as they arise and supporting top management with local project execution;
- Develop and track key project milestones and outcomes, ensuring alignment with established goals and KPIs;
- Identify and manage risks associated with projects, overseeing project tracking and performance evaluation;
- Provide regular updates and detailed analyses to management about the status and progress of the project portfolio;
- Communicate strategic projects progress and performance with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management role, preferably in Retail/ FMCG industries;
- Growth mindset, proactivity, curiosity and motivation to develop in Retail industry;
- Good business acumen and understanding of business plans and financial analysis;
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies;
- Collaborative approach, engaging others on a vision and gaining buy in to achieve results;
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing business priorities;
- Ability to identify, understand, structure, adapt and resolve complex problems and make sound decisions;
- Resilience in the face of setbacks, maintain a positive attitude and find alternative solutions to keep projects on track;
- Fluency in PowerPoint (preferably, including Think Cell) and Excel – Jira is a plus;
- Excellent language skills in English.
