The Role: Store Commercial Specialist
We are looking for an analytical and trend-savvy Store Commercial Specialist to drive data-informed decision-making in collection and product development. This role plays a key part in understanding consumer expectations, market trends, and regional demands while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The Role: Store Commercial Specialist
We are looking for an analytical and trend-savvy Store Commercial Specialist to drive data-informed decision-making in collection and product development. This role plays a key part in understanding consumer expectations, market trends, and regional demands while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Working closely with international teams and key stakeholders, the ideal candidate will analyze customer personas, product performance, and fashion trends to optimize product mix and range planning.
Main responsibilities:
- Contributes to collection and product development by tracking evolving customer expectations within the assigned product group and region, considering economic factors, climate, and trends.
- Observes and analyzes consumer attitudes toward products and brands, integrating persona-based insights into collections and supporting cluster-based budget and range planning.
- Identifies key trends and customer demands at the regional and cluster level by assessing category needs, special occasions, and seasonal trends. Determines the ideal product mix for responsible stores and places product requests accordingly.
- Evaluates the upcoming season’s collection based on customer profiles, excluding unsuitable products due to climate and socio-cultural factors while requesting region-specific products that are not part of the global collection.
- Identifies "Key Item and Key Trend" demands based on customer personas, communicates these insights to product teams, and requests necessary additions.
- Works with relevant teams to develop Ideal Product Mix and Range Plans for the assigned product group, ensuring orders align with strategic range planning.
- Participates in weekly trading meetings, providing updates on social media influencers, street fashion, and emerging trends, while identifying fast-track production opportunities.
- Conducts customer segmentation studies, categorizing shoppers by clothing style and assessing their presence and potential in stores.
- Analyzes trend phases based on personas, evaluating sales potential and sharing insights with key teams.
- Monitors product sales performance and recommends or implements visual merchandising strategies to maximize sales.
- Conducts structured qualitative and quantitative market research based on stakeholder requests.
- At least 3 years of experience in the retail sector, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proficient in office programs, with advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Passionate about researching and understanding consumer needs, preferences, expectations, and shopping motivations.
- Well-versed in fashion trends, ready-to-wear garment production, and basic fabric properties.
- Able to assess store visual merchandising from a commercial perspective.
- Adaptable, quick to learn, and open to change.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills, with experience in analysis and reporting.
- Skilled in time management and setting priorities effectively.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
