About the Role: As a Team Lead, you will lead a team of talented Java developers responsible for building and maintaining a core platform. You will play a key role in balancing technical delivery with people leadership — mentoring engineers, supporting technical decision-making, and ensuring consistent, high-quality output aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers through regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and career development support

• Oversee the design, development, and delivery of backend services for the their platform
• Collaborate closely with product managers and architects to align technical delivery with business priorities
• Ensure engineering best practices in code quality, scalability, performance, and security
• Review and approve code to maintain high development standards
• Identify and remove technical or organizational blockers impacting delivery timelines
• Troubleshoot issues across staging and production environments
• Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to tools and processes

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Team Lead or Senior Java Developer
• Strong expertise in Java (Java 11+), Spring Boot, and backend development
• Experience designing and delivering scalable production systems
• Deep understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and leading sprint ceremonies
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes is considered a strong advantage
• Previous experience in high-volume transactional platforms is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
