Glаtec Ltd. is a production company with international participation specializing in cold metal processing, which is successfully advancing its production towards automation and digitization, leveraging its longstanding traditions, experience, and established European standards. Now we are looking for a Senior Tooling Design Engineer who will coordinate the design, development, and implementation of new products.

✅ Main Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Planning

• Plans and organizes the work of the design team, sets clear objectives, distributes tasks, and monitors progress against project timelines and goals.
• Provides technical guidance and makes decisions on issues arising during the design and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with performance and quality standards.
• Leads tooling projects from concept to implementation, monitors KPIs, and drives continuous improvement based on lessons learned.
• Fosters innovation, encourages knowledge sharing, and promotes the application of best engineering practices within the team.

2. Tool Design & Development

• Designs, develops, and optimizes tooling equipment such as stamping dies, injection molds, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Develops technical specifications and selects appropriate materials and manufacturing technologies based on application, durability, and cost.
• Prepares and updates 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
• Continuously improves tooling solutions and integrates feedback from production, quality, and maintenance teams.

3. Documentation & Standards

• Maintains and enforces the standardization of design documentation, including CAD files, specifications, tool passports, and work instructions.
• Approves engineering changes, manages design revisions, and ensures proper implementation through author supervision.

4. Implementation & Optimization

• Oversees the testing, commissioning, and integration of tools into production environments.
• Coordinates with cross-functional departments—including production, quality, and procurement—to ensure seamless project execution and alignment on tooling requirements.

5. External Collaboration

• Manages outsourced design work, ensuring external contractors comply with internal guidelines, standards, and documentation practices.
• Actively develops and updates internal design guidelines to incorporate evolving best practices and project experience.

✅ Requirements:

• Higher technical education – Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field;
• Experience in design activities and team management – at least 3 years;
• Excellent knowledge of CAD systems (Siemens NX);
• Understanding of injection molding and stamping processes;
• Ability to work with technical documentation – preparation, analysis, and implementation;
• Decision-making ability in a dynamic environment;
• Leadership and communication skills – team management, motivation, and staff development;
• Good level of English - both written and spoken.
