Senior Team Manager (Credit Risk department)

What would you do on this role:

  • Lead a team of Supervisors while guiding a large group of more than 50+ credit specialists through strong operational leadership and well structured workflows.
  • Apply policies and procedures when reviewing and approving cases within assigned authority, ensuring risk exposure is managed responsibly, decisions are sound, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Conduct ongoing meetings with the supervisors to support case analysis, ensure accurate policy interpretation, manage escalations effectively, and drive alignment across all operational teams.
  • Maintain effective communication and build a resilient business partnership with key stakeholders, ensuring collaboration, transparency, and shared success.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with cross functional partners by providing timely responses to information requests, delivering risk insights, and presenting clear recommendations.
  • Support strategic planning activities, including forecasting, business reviews, and performance analytics to enable strong leadership decisions and operational maturity.
  • Identify training needs and development priorities across the manager led teams, while also providing feedback on process enhancements, data requirements, tools, and documentation improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate escalation and follow up with internal departments and leadership on operational or risk related issues.
What skills are needed:
  • At least 1 year of experience in credit risk, merchant underwriting, commercial lending, or a relevant risk related domain, with strong exposure to complex case reviews and decision-making frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing managers or supervisors, ideally in a high volume or high performance operational environment (FinTech, BPO etc.)
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • Strong analytical capability, including the ability to interpret large datasets, extract insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, cross functional teams, and risk partners to support complex assessments and strategic objectives.
  • Solid understanding of risk assessment methodologies, credit principles, and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience with strategic planning processes, such as budgeting, forecasting, business reviews, performance measurement, or workflow optimization.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating decisions, insights, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong business acumen, critical thinking, and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to mentor and develop leaders, including supporting training, capability-building, and performance improvement initiatives across manager-led teams.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
