For a client of ours – an innovative production company – we are searching for a Senior Strategic Buyer

SENIOR STRATEGIC BUYER The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies across a complex and dynamic supplier base, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and supplyreliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, new suppliers, and opportunities for cost optimization
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to ensure the best value for the company while maintaining quality and supplier performance standards
• Coordinate SKU bundling and category management strategies to streamline vendor portfolios and maximize purchasing efficiency
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for over 6,000 SKUs across 50+ global vendors
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in engineering, logistics, and quality departments to align purchasing strategies with business goals
• Participate in supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Act as a key interface between global suppliers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment
• Travel frequently to supplier sites, trade shows, and industry events (domestic and international)

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in the electronics or manufacturing industry
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation, sourcing strategy, and cost management
• Strong understanding of electronics components, markets, and supply chains
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SAP or similar tools is a plus
• Willingness and ability to travel
