What project we have for you:

Our team operates at the frontlines of our efforts to support Google and owns the campaign management functionalities that allow users to scale, automate and optimize their ad operations on Google Ads.

Join us in building new end-to-end automation solutions and scaling existing automation pipelines to help our customers automatically launch and iterate their Google advertising.

The team has recently started working with exciting new campaign types within Google Ads and we’re looking to scale up our team to expand our Google Ads offering.

We design, build and maintain client-facing APIs and automation services using, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, and user interfaces using React for core UI workflows, as well as service integrations to the other project’s infrastructure. From you, we expect solid skills with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.

Tech stack: Engineer with Javascript, TypeScript and Node Js, GitHub, PostgreSQL, k6, ToxyProxy (Playwright, Sentry are optional).

What you will do:

• Design and develop tools to boost the reliability and quality of Smartly products, making a significant impact on over 15 product teams.
• Incorporate AI to elevate developer experience.
• Enhance solutions to increase test stability and to run the right tests at the right time.
• Contribute to the codebases with spread ownership.
• Drive the implementation and usage of the tools you create, guiding teams to success. Mentor engineers on best practices about observability, resiliency and testability.
• Apply and enhance your soft skills, working closely with multiple product teams.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, advertising, and digital marketing.

What you need for this:

• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably with Javascript, TypeScript and Node.Js.
• Proven track record in creating tools and infrastructure adopted by multiple teams.
• Strong understanding of different testing methodologies and best practices and experience with modern tools and frameworks like Playwright, Sentry or similar.
• CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and tools.
• Autonomy, proactivity and the ability to unblock yourself when you need help.
• Strong ability to explain and visualize complex concepts in simple terms.
• Ability and desire to dive into unfamiliar areas and learn fast.
• Building scalable data storages to keep thousands of millions of records.
• Platform engineering experience is a plus.
