For one of our clients: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Java Security Architect to join our team and support the secure development of our products. This role focuses on application-level security, working closely with software engineers to embed security practices into the development lifecycle, particularly in Java or C# environments.

This is a remote position. Position: Senior Java Cybersecurity Architect Location: Sofia, Bulgaria, Hybrid Company Type: Product company within the Cybersecurity domain

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on consulting to engineering teams on secure coding practices in Java (preferred) or C#.
• Conduct code reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• Define and promote secure development standards (SSDLC) and ensure adherence across projects.
• Collaborate with product and architecture teams to design secure systems.
• Assist in implementing and integrating security tools (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning).
• Support incident response and vulnerability management processes.
• Contribute to internal security training and awareness initiatives.

Requirements:

• Strong software development background (Java preferred; C# also acceptable).
• 4+ years of experience in application security, secure coding, or software architecture.
• Solid understanding of common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment practices.
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have:

• Security certifications (e.g., CSSLP, OSWE, GWAPT).
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
