SENIOR CATEGORY MANAGER

For our Category management department in Head office we are looking for motivated and open-minded people for the position:

SENIOR CATEGORY MANAGER

Responsibilities:

• --------------------
• Develops and implements the overall strategy for the dedicated category in line with the company strategy;
• Monitors and controls the effective execution of the annual plans per subcategories;
• Shapes a competitive assortment in the respective category aligned with the company strategic direction;
• Analyzes customer needs and market insights in order to drive innovations and optimizations in the category;
• Negotiates and maintains the trade terms and relationships with domestic and international suppliers;
• Constantly looks for new opportunities for growth and identifies new suppliers;
• Implements company pricing strategy within the dedicated category;
• Plans, negotiates and executes effective promotional activities;
• Ensures optimal assortment placement of the dedicated product categories in the different types of stores;
• Monitors and analyzes all KPIs associated with the performance of the respective category, achieves the set goals and drives company growth;
• Leads strategic company projects that drive optimization and progress;
• Works in a close collaboration, manages and develops a team of category managers and assistants.

Requirements:

• ------------------
• University degree, preferably in Economics, Trade, etc.;
• 3-5 years of professional experience in Category Management/Procurement in Retail/FMCG sector;
• 1-3 years of managerial experience in leading, developing and engaging people;
• Strong negotiation and stakeholders management skills;
• Strong analytical and data processing skills that drive decision making;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build effective working relationships;
• High self-motivation with strive for continuous learning and professional development;
• Ability to multitask under pressure;
• Excellent self-organization, goal-orientation and proactivity;
• Highly proficient in MS Office;
• Excellent language skills in English;
• Good common of German language is considered an advantage.
