Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support delivery of digital and IT initiatives in a retail banking environment, where solutions are developed primarily by external software vendors. The role focuses on enabling teams to successfully apply Agile methods and practices, while operating within a hybrid Agile–Waterfall delivery model aligned with bank governance, regulatory requirements, and vendor management processes.

The Scrum Master will act as a facilitator, coach, and delivery enabler, ensuring effective collaboration between internal stakeholders, product owners, vendors, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensure they deliver measurable value.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices.
• Support delivery in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall setup, in alignment with bank’s internal frameworks regarding projects governance, approval and management mechanisms.
• Coordinate closely with external vendors to ensure transparency, commitment tracking, and timely delivery.
• Proactively manage delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers.
• Help Product Owners maintain a clear, prioritized, and well-refined backlog.
• Promote strong communication across business, IT, risk, compliance, and vendor teams.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in the financial sector.
• Demonstrated experience managing delivery with third-party software vendors.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or similar).
• Practical experience operating in hybrid Agile–Waterfall delivery models.
• Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate structured governance environments and regulatory constraints.

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
• Experience with digital banking platforms (online banking, mobile banking, payments, lending, etc.)
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
