What would we appreciate about you?
- Evaluating different suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price.
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
- Prepares and processes purchase orders for materials, services and equipment.
- Ensuring purchases meet the criteria of the company.
- Managing daily purchasing activities.
- Managing supplier relations and negotiating timelines, availability, conditions etc.
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock
- Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
- Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the purchasing process
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree / minimum.
- Experience as a purchasing or logistics specialist / or a similar role / at least 2 years
- Solid understanding of supply chain management, logistics and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Fluent English
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
