Non-Financial Reporting Specialist
TexCycle is an ecosystem of textile recovery companies, that provide sustainable textile solutions to the fashion industry and local communities. It has started as a brand in 2018 through which the well-established company Eurotex - with over 20 years of solid experience in textiles recovery and second-hand clothes sorting and trading, completes its environmental strategy.

Our portfolio of brands covers a wide range of circular textile solutions like collection, sorting and preparation for re-use, repairs, trading, recycling, and other forms of textile processing and recovery.
Scope of the role:
The Non-Financial Reporting Specialist supports the delivery of the Company non-financial/sustainability measurement, assurance, and disclosure activities. In this role, the Non-Financial Reporting Specialist will collaborate with stakeholders across the Company to ensure robust ESG/Sustainability reporting processes are in place to deliver accurate and timely reporting and disclosures. The role is particularly responsible for non-financial data collection, aggregation, validation, and assurance processes. Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the Non-Financial Reporting Specialist plays a critical role in helping enable senior leadership to deliver against the Company's sustainability ambitions based on decision-useful data as well as helping ensure compliance with relevant non-financial reporting regulations and frameworks. The Non-Financial Reporting Controller will work closely with senior leaders and key experts from the Finances & IT, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Internal Audit, and other functions, business representatives in the country and abroad, as well as external auditors.

Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and validate non-financial data for internal and external ESG reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the business and functional stakeholders to ensure robust design of internal controls over non-financial reporting processes.
- Continuously work toward improving the ESG reporting processes and related internal control environment to ensure data reliability and accuracy.
- Ensure relevant process and control documentation supporting ESG reporting activities are in place and suitably maintained following best practice.
- Assist in the preparation of external ESG statements and Annual Report, including information and data gathering as well as content development.
- Facilitate and support the external assurance process over non-financial reporting.
- Proactively identify the impacts of changes in business processes to ESG/sustainability compliance and ensure effective mitigation of any associated risks.
- Lead and coordinate the Company’s response to external ESG/sustainability ratings, assessments, and benchmarks.
- Provide support and training to colleagues across the non-financial reporting value chain.
- Monitor developments in ESG reporting frameworks and regulations, assessing the impact on the Company, identifying potential gaps, and developing respective updates to non-financial accounting policies and guidelines.
- Report environmental data to authorities in accordance with all relevant legal requirements.
- Deliver the monthly accounting and reporting of textile waste in collaboration with the accounting department.
- 3+ years in positions of increasing responsibility and experience in assurance, risk and controls or financial accounting or reporting related roles, with a passion for ESG/sustainability.
- Accounting designation is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of existing and emergent non-financial reporting requirements, with the ability to analyze trends, identify gaps and take corresponding action.
- Reporting standards and frameworks.
- Regulatory reporting legislation.
- Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills and experience in using Excel for data collection; integration of data collection models in systems/ software is desirable.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity and deliver significant change in an evolving environment.
- Project management skills with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
