Network System Engineer

Job description:

• Operate and support Linux-based infrastructure for mission-critical services (network/telecom systems), including system hardening, updates, backup/restore, and troubleshooting
• Build, configure, and maintain virtualized environments, VM provisioning, templates, storage/network settings, and lifecycle management
• Administer and troubleshoot IP networks (L2/L3) in enterprise environments: VLANs, routing basics, and multicast, with focus on IGMP configuration and debugging
• Support VoIP infrastructure as part of the network services stack: deploy and maintain Asterisk, configure trunks/extensions/dialplans, handle NAT-related issues, and support SIP endpoints
• Perform deep troubleshooting across layers (host, VM, network, SIP/RTP)
• Maintain clear operational documentation: network diagrams, cluster topology, configuration baselines, and step-by-step runbooks
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors during deployments, upgrades, and integration activities; contribute to standardization and continuous improvement

Skills and qualification:

• 5+ years’ experience with system and network administration on infrastructure with 30+ Linux servers
• Strong understanding of the entire Linux server stack with knowledge at LPIC-1 level and LPIC-2 level: OS boot and installation, system, networking, container deployment, logging, metrics & monitoring, out-of-band management, etc.
• Experience with configuration automation
• Virtualization: hands-on experience with KVM/Xen, QEMU/libvirt and VMware
• Solid understanding of VoIP/Asterisk/SIP
• Networking: CCNA-level knowledge (or equivalent), including configuration, design and troubleshooting
• High availability and OS clustering: ability to configure and operate
• Systemd administration and troubleshooting
• openSUSE experience (preferred distribution) - nice to have
• RPM repository management (e.g., createrepo, repo publishing/maintenance) - preferred
• Databases: administration/operational knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL - good to have
• keepalived configuration/operation (VIP failover, HA setups) - a good advantage
