LOGISTICS TEAM LEADER
LOGISTICS TEAM LEADER
The mission:
- Coordinates the local logistics activities of the business unit.
- Ensures materials & services needed to the company are provided and maintained to the required standard
- Ensures order receiving and their dispatch on time, accurately and at minimum possible cost.
- Ensures the stock of raw materials is maintained at relevant levels.
- Ensures the warehouse inventory control and management both phisically and electonically.
Organizing Logistics & Warehousing processes
- Monitors the raw material stock vs. the current list of production orders to ensure optimum inventory levels to support the production whilst minimizing inventory values.
- Regularly checks the raw material level and generates new purchasing orders, placing them to intercompany/external suppliers.
- Ensures spare parts ordering & follow up based on internal purchase requests both for Customers or local equipment.
- Ensure services, suppliers and subcontractors perform and deliver on time.
- Ensures the best quality product/service at the best price.
- Ensures Orders’ receiving and checking based on shipping and invoice documents.
- Performs routine check-up on all items in the warehouse, making sure all materials and finished goods are stored properly and are correctly reported.
- Ensures efficient work flows for all goods received, stored and dispatched.
- Constantly controls the Warehouse flows in terms of Order, Quantity and Material.
- Ensures the needed transport activities of the company for received and dispatch orders with local and international forwarders and transport companies
- Ensures the processing of shipping documents through computer systems. Completion of all documentation, in a legible and accurate manner.
- Ensures daily timely dispatches of customers’ orders. Shipping documents are to be prepared correctly and on time.
- Prepares daily work plans for Logistics Department based on daily meetings, allocating the tasks within department’s members.
- Supports the Logistics assistant in his daily job.
- Operates in compliance with Company Health and Safety standards & best practices
- Participates in and support the implementation of all continuous improvement processes
- Actively train the team on new logistics processes/methods to meet business needs & provides such training to other employees if needed;
- Positively lead & influence team members to achieve individual and business goals and build the organization’s capability.
- Works closely with other teams and stakeholders to meet the organizational objectives and improve teamwork & collaboration at the site level.
- University degree in a relevant field – logistics, business, etc.
- Very good level of computer literacy (MS Office ERP)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in warehousing & logistics environment
- Minimum accounting skills (stock movements registration, invoicing, shipping legal formalities, etc)
- Very Good prioritizing, organizing and reporting skills; Ability to work independently, while coordinating others,
- Responsible, team player, with good work commitment & flexible attitude to work
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a clear and polite manner
- Foreign languages: English –medium level- able to fluently communicate in English
- Strong leadership - proven ability to lead others, self starter, responsible, positive, pro-active and flexible attitude

- organized, with ability to work well under pressure and to comply with tight due terms
