Lead Software Developer - Core Banking System
at IT Department, Sofia
Contribution and key responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of the Core Banking System
- Manage and mentor a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and quality assurance, to define and deliver high-quality software solutions
- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of the Core Banking System
- Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and implement best practices for software development
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong proficiency in programming software technologies such as Java, Oracle PLSQL, Python or other scripting languages
- Extensive experience with core banking systems or financial software development
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
