Lead Software Developer - Core Banking System

at IT Department, Sofia

Contribution and key responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of the Core Banking System
• Manage and mentor a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and quality assurance, to define and deliver high-quality software solutions
• Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of the Core Banking System
• Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and implement best practices for software development
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner

For efficiency and effective role performance:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong proficiency in programming software technologies such as Java, Oracle PLSQL, Python or other scripting languages
• Extensive experience with core banking systems or financial software development
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
