Junior Specialist, Vendor Master Data

As a Junior Specialist, Vendor Master Data at Hiab, you’ll be at the heart of our procurement and finance operations—ensuring vendor information is accurate, consistent, and fully aligned with global compliance standards. From onboarding new vendors to maintaining and updating critical data, your work will help enable seamless purchasing, payments, and supplier collaboration across the organization.
This role offers a unique entry point into global master data and supply chain processes. You’ll work closely with procurement, finance, and IT teams, gaining hands-on experience with ERP systems and understanding how high-quality vendor data supports the entire source-to-pay cycle. Main tasks and responsibilities:
Perform daily customer master data activities with focus on accuracy and timeliness
Create, update, and maintain customer records in line with company standards
Manage service tickets from internal teams and external partners, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
Collaborate with teams like Credit & Collections, AR, Sales Support, Customer Service, and IT to ensure data consistency
Support the Invoice-to-Cash process by maintaining reliable data for invoicing, reporting, and order processing
Provide input on system enhancements, support testing, and help implement changes affecting customer data
Investigate discrepancies and recurring issues, escalating to the Team Lead when necessary
Participate in data validation during monthly and quarterly closings to ensure accuracy and completeness
Monitor data quality metrics and suggest improvements to drive efficiency and compliance
Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and data governance standards
Support Team Lead in communication and escalations for complex or urgent cases
Promote data ownership, accuracy, and a culture of continuous improvement within the team
What you’ll need to succeed:
Education
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business, Finance or related, obtained or currently in progress.
Experience
0 -1 years of experience of relevant experience in an international environment
Competencies
Detail-oriented
Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and communication skills
Time Management and ability to prioritise
SAP experience is an advantage
Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Charts), Powerpoint and process mapping tools, Google Workspace
Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required
Display a strong work ethic and ability to comply with internal controls and policies
